     She died on 9 August 1943 at Franklin, Pennsylvania, USA, at age 87.1
     The following selected information is extracted from her obituary. Survivor(s): Mrs. Samuel Hemphill. Predeceased: Rev. Dr. T. W. Douglas.1      Frances Grove was buried on 11 August 1943 at Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Pennsylvania, USA.1
     In the obituary of Rev. Dr. T. W. Douglas who died 6 November 1926, his second wife, Frances Grove was listed as a survivor.3
     The following newspaper article appeared in the Franklin, Pennsylvania News-Herald 6 June 1932 :
Mr. and Mrs. John Long and daughter, Gita, and Miss Mary Long, of Akron, were guests Sunday of Mrs. T. W. Douglas. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hemphill, of Uniontown, were weekend guests of Mrs. Douglas and on Sunday a birthday dinner was held honoring Mrs. Douglas whose birthday anniversary it was and Mr. Hemphill whose birthday occurred on Friday. (Note: Friday would have been June 3, 1932.)2

     The following obituary appeared News-Herald published in Franklin, Pennsylvania 9 August 1943:
MRS. T. W. DOUGLAS DIES AT AGE OF 87
Widow of Rev. Douglas, She Was Greatly Beloved.
Mrs. Frances Grove Douglas, 87, beloved widow of Rev. T. W. Douglas, former Methodist minister, died at 2 a. m. Monday at the home of Dr. and Mrs, Thomas Barr, 1312 Elk Street.

Mrs. Douglas was born June 7, 1856, in Cooperstown. For 27 years she was a teacher in the public schools of Oil City. On June 20, 1909, she married Dr. Douglas, who was a veteran of the Civil War. He died 18 years ago.

Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs Samuel Hemphill, of Uniontown, and four step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Douglas was a member or the Firs Methodist Church, of the Progressive Bible Class of that church school. Interested in the welfare of the community and nation, Mrs. Douglas was a member of the Venango chapter, D. A. R., the Eastern Star and the Woman's Relief Corps.

The body has been removed to the Burger Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.1
