     He was born on 6 November 1807 at Brentwood, Essex, England.1 William married Sara Bielby on 7 June 1832 at Wesleyan Methodist, Willowdale, Ontario, Canada.1
     He died on 7 December 1846 at Toronto, York County, Ontario, Canada, at age 39.1      William Reeve was buried at Willowdale Church yard, North Yonge St., Ontario, Canada.1
     In 1836 William bought a farm near Brampton. This farm, near Stanley Mills in Chinguacousy Township, Peel County consisted of 100 acres in the East 1/2 of Lot 6, Concession V, [located immediately northwest of the present-day intersection of Airport Road and Highway 7 in Bramalea]. The farm was sold in 1848 following the death of William Reeve.

Willlam Reeve, with a Mr. Weed, established at York Mills the first agricultural implement factory in Ontario.1

PIERRE DURAND dit DESMARCHAIS: son of Pierre and Marie Chartier; May 24 1665, he embarks on the "St-Sebastien " and unloads in Quebec on September 12 1665 like soldier of the Co De Loubias of the regiment of Carignan;he is with Three-Rivers into 1666 and, in 1667 he is listed in Cape-of-the-Madeleine as servant of Etienne Gélineau; he married in Quebec on October 17 1673 to Jeanne Chartier arrived to New-France into 1667 with her father who was a miller of trade and who will settle in Batiscan. Rene Chartier will be killed by Iroquois with Lachine on 5 August 1689 and will be buried on May 23, 1701. The couple is established on a ground in the Hertel stronghold of the parish of Champlain and will remain there until their death. The first three generations of DURAND lived in Champlain. Those which remained there, took the name of CHARTIER while those of the fourth generation will essaimeront in Gentilly, St-Stanislas, St-Tite. Pierre Durand of the second generation settles in Montreal where one still finds his descendants today, but they bear the name of DESMARCHAIS.
