The home of the bride's parents was the setting for the wedding of Lois Helen Whitfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Whitfield, Thornbury, and Douglas Rae McClure, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McClure, Newmarket, last Thursday. Rev. C. G. McPhee officiated.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride looked lovely in a white silk jersey dress with white accessories. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss Marion Franklin, Aurora, attended the bride, and wore a blue silk jersey dress with white accessories. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Bruce Lehman, Markham, was best man.
At the reception which followed, the bride's mother received wearing a blue dress, assisted by the groom's mother, who wore a mauve crepe dress.
For the wedding trip, the bride donned a dusky pink suit with brown accessories.1
