I remembered you mentioning that Victoria May (Vamplew) Hudson and her twin brother Albert Edward Vamplew needed to have their birth date cleared up as one was listed as being born in 1894 and the other in 1895. I have talked to Gladys (Hudson) Allen. She says the correct birth date is May 24th 1895. She also says at the time the twins were born they were named by the local newspaper. Presumably their names came from their month of birth and Queen Victoria and her Albert. Neat story eh?10

Mabel was born on 22 May 1912 in Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.9,6,10,3,11,12 Alternatively, she was born on 22 May 1913 in St Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, Ontario, Canada, according to her original birth registration.8 Mabel married Harold Edward Dunbar on 23 September 1931 in Newington, Osnabruck Twp., Stormont County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 019053.9,6,13,14 She died on 27 December 2004 in Winchester District Memorial Hospital, Winchester, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Ontario, Canada, at age 92.6,4
The following information is extracted from her obituary. Survivor(s): Harold Dunbar and Freida Brownell. Predeceased: Ellard Melvin Zummach, William Zummack and Helena Verch.6 Mabel Elizabeth Angela Zummach was buried in North Valley Cemetery, Osnabruck Twp., Stormont County, Ontario, Canada, spring interment.9,6,12
Her name was recorded as Angala Mabel Zummach on her birth registration according to her original birth registration registered in Sep 1913. This appears to be the registration by her birth mother. Her father is listed as unknown, but Zummach is her surname.

This birth date is a year later than the date from other sources. As early as 1940, Mabel was giving her birth year as 1912, so it is probably correct. We can only speculate why the difference in birth dates.8 She and Harold Dunbar crossed the border on a temporary visit on 10 April 1940 at Sweetgrass, Montana, USA, with their daughter Hazel Irene and friends Kenneth A Hayes and Harold Louis Sayham. Remarks on the crossing manifest card read: "Parents never resided in US. Has been attending bible school at Three Hills, Alta now returning home." They were driving back to Ontario and were granted 1 week to transit the US. Mabel was described as 5' 2", with a medium complextion, dark hair, grey eyes and she wore glasses.15 Mabel Henry (sic) Dunbar and Harold Dunbar crossed the border on a temporary visit on 9 April 1941 at Sweetgrass, Montana, and party. They were driving back to Newington, Ontario and were granted 5 days to transit the US. Mabel was described as 5' 2", with a medium complextion, brown hair, grey eyes and she wore glasses.16
Mary Summach, Lester's wife, sent Mom some photos and a video of Orin Summach and family. Harold and Mabel Dunbar were included, and she noted that Mabel was an adopted daughter.17
In the obituary of Harold Edward Dunbar who died 6 September 2008, his wife, Mabel Elizabeth Dunbar was listed as predeceased.18
In the obituary of Freda Miriam Zummach who died 27 September 2014, Freda's sister, Mabel Dunbar was listed as predeceased.19
