Mrs. Raymond, widow of N. L. Raymond, deceased, died on Sunday, March 31 (sic); having been in poor health all winter. She was in her 81st year; she had always lived a quiet, kindly life, and was respected by all who knew her, and will be mourned by her family and a large circle of neighbors and friends, several of whom have known her for forty years past. Funeral services were held at the home place, now occupied by her son; they were conducted by Rev. Hull, of Kingston, and she was laid to rest beside her husband on Tuesday.5

Esmond Farmer Is Summoned at His Farm Home
Charles E. Beydler, age 60, well known Esmond farmer and a son-in-law of Police Magistrate and Mrs. J. M. Blair of this city, died last night at his farm home, near Esmond. Mr. Beydler had not been in good health for the past several months but he was not taken seriously ill until Thursday of last week.
Charles E. Beydler was born at Maurertown, Va., on July 31. 1877, coming to Illinois and DeKalb county in 1899, when was 22 years of age. On February 14, 1907, he was united in marriage to Bessie E. Blair and for the past 21 years the home has been made on a farm a mile north of Esmond.
He leaves to mourn his death his widow. Mrs. Bessie E. Beydler, five sons and daughters, Mrs. Virginia Clegg of Esmond, and Walter, Corriley, Charles, and Donna Mae, all living in Creston. One brother has preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Esmond church, interment to be in the Esmond cemetery.2

On June 6, 1923, she was married to Frank McMurchy. Her passing is mourned by her husband, one daughter, Louise, five sisters, Mrs. Theresa Leiferman of Freeport. Martha, Agnes and Catharine Lauer (sic) and Mrs. Anna Arnup, all of Oregon and three brothers, John of Freeport, Charles of Oregon and Michael of Sheldon, Ia.
