She was born circa 1823 at Saint Peter parish, Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire, England.5 Alternatively, she may have been born circa 1821 at Saint Peter parish, Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire, England, in the 1871 and 1881 census4,6; or, circa 1828 at North Somercotes, Lincolnshire, England, according to the 1891 census.7 Susanna married Richard Leak between January 1850 and March 1850 at the Louth district, Lincolnshire, England.3 Susannah married William Michael between April 1853 and June 1853 at the Louth Registration District, Lincolnshire, England.2,5,4,6
Susanna Johnson was a survivor of her husband Richard who died in 1852.8
William and Susanna Michael appeared on the 1861 British Census of England, North Somercotes, at Lincolnshire, enumerated effective 07 Apr 1861, described as a cottager of 6 acres and she was a cottager's wife. Their children Thomas, Mary A, John W, Frederick and Young C. J. A. were listed as living with them.5
William and Susannah Michael appeared on the 1871 British Census of England, North Somercotes, at Lincolnshire, enumerated effective the night of 02 April 1871, described as a cattle drover and cottager. Their children Fredrick, Young C. J. A. and George A were listed as living with them. As well, his father-in-law, Charles Johnson; grandson, William Dickinsen and his unmarried "daur-in-law," Mary Ann Leak were included in the household. I believe that listing Mary Ann as his daughter-in-law indicates she was his step-daughter.4
William and Susanah Michael appeared on the 1881 British Census of England, at 31 William Street, Hebburn, at Durham, enumerated effective the night of 03 Apr 1881, described as a general labourer. Their children Thomas, Charles and George A were listed as living with them.6

She was born circa 2 October 1842 at South Somercoates, Lincolnshire, England.1,2,4,5 Fanny Michael was christened on 2 October 1842 at South Somercoates, Lincolnshire, England.1 Alternatively, she may have been born in 1843 according to her Find A Grave Memorial Page3; or, circa 1846 at South Somercoates, Lincolnshire, England, since she claimed to be 45 in the 1891 census.7 Fanny married Charles Houltby between October 1870 and December 1870 at Louth civil registration district, Lincolnshire, England. The Civil Registration Index (FreeBMD) as listed on Ancestry does not show Charles as a potential spouse of Fanny, but another gentleman is listed twice. A manual search of the index images confirms that Charles Houlty's marriage was recorded with the same date and data as Fanny.8
Fanny Michael died on 18 February 1910 at Lincolnshire, England.3,9
Fanny Michael was buried circa 22 February 1910 at Louth Cemetery, Louth, Lincolnshire, England.3      Her estate was probated on 1 April 1910 at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England; leaving her effects of £226 18s. 4d to her sole heir, Barrett Michael.9
Fanny Michael appeared on the 1851 British Census of South Somercotes, at Lincolnshire, England, in the household of her parents, Jacob and Isabella Michael.6
Fanny Michael appeared on the 1861 British Census of North Somercotes, at Lincolnshire, England, in the household of her parents, Jacob and Isabella Michael.4 Fanny Houltby was the mother of Ernest Charles Houltby, who was baptized on 28 March 1875 at St. Michael's parish, Louth, Lincolnshire, England; Note that Ernest and his brother Henry were baptised on the same day.10 Fanny Houltby was the mother of Henry East Houltby, who was baptized on 28 March 1875 at St. Michael's parish, Louth, Lincolnshire, England; Note that Henry and his brother Ernest were baptised on the same day.11
Fanny Michael appeared on the 1881 British Census of England, at 32 Maiden Row, Louth, at Lincolnshire, enumerated effective the night of 03 Apr 1881, described as a Malster's widow / working. Her children Henry East and Ernest Charles were listed as living with her. Her late husband was a Maltster, one who selects barley for malting & brewing. She was enumerated just before the household of her parents, Jacob and Isabella Michael.5
Fanny Houltby appeared on the 1891 British Census of England, at 28 Gathrtrums, Louth, at Lincolnshire, enumerated effective 02 Apr 1891, described as a laundress and a widow. Her children Henry E., Ernest C. and John T. were listed as living with her.7
The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.
It appears that Fanny Michael née Michael and her children Ernest Charles Houltby, Isabella Kate Houltby, John Thomas Houltby, Barrett Michael and Henry East Houltby were all buried in the Louth Cemetery, according to their Find A Grave memorial pages. Their dates of birth are consistent with this family, as well as their names. The 1911 census for Barrett Michael's household includes three of his four half siblings, excluding Henry.12
