     Salome (female) or Soloman (male) -- that is the question. Ellen Shelly's friend Peter listed Soloman as a son of Christopher and Ann Patchett. The IGI records Salome as a daughter of the same couple. There are two marriages recorded for Salome, one in 1799 and the other in 1803. These could be for the same person. Both occurred in Skidbrook With Saltfleet Haven, Lincoln, England.¹¹ She was Baptised/Christened on 17 September 1780 at Little Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.^5,4 She was a survivor of her husband John who died in 1801.⁴

     She and Wallace Waller were Partners before 1824; or there was some other form of relatoinship. In the 1851 census, Wallace Waller is enumerated as Married, but Mary Michael is listed as unmarried and his housekeeper. The children are listed as sons, daughters and grandson of the head of the household, but this could indicate their relationship to Mary and not to Wallace. The 1841 census does not provide marital status, and does not indicate head of household and relationships.^3,1,2
