She was born circa 14 April 1794 at Anderston, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.3 Elisabeth Airth was christened on 14 April 1794 at Anderston, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.4,2 Elisabeth married James Halliday on 29 August 1815 at Relief Church, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2
Elisabeth Airth died on 22 February 1885 at Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.2
Elisabeth Airth was buried at Thompsonville (aka Thompson Hill and Renfrew Public Cemetery), Renfrew, Horton Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.2
The following biographical information was shared at the Country Hearts Genalogy database of Dallas Manicom, 23 August 2003:
At the urging of Sgt Henry AIRTH, Elisabeth's brother, the HALLIDAY family decided to emigrate to Canada.

The children David, Esther and Marion were the first to come in 1848, followed by the rest of the family in 1849.

The HALLIDAYs first stayed together in a primitive shanty, which was soon replaced by a log house.

A fine stone house was built later and the property became known as 'Burnside.' This land had first been deeded to Sgt Henry and was sold to James HALLIDAY in 1856.

Elisabeth & James celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on August 29 1864, with James dying on November 17th of that memorable year.

Elisabeth died in her 91st year on February 22 1885 in Renfrew Ontario.2
