     The following information is extracted from his obituary. Survivor(s): Ida May Wellwood, Esther Wellwood, Dorothy Wellwood, Sadie Elizabeth Wellwood, Arthur Wesley Wellwood, William Henry Wellwood and Gladys Rowena Wellwood. Predeceased: Ida Amanda Denzin.14 William Joseph Wellwood was buried in Avondale Woodlawn Cemetery, Avondale district, RM of Vanscoy No. 345, Saskatchewan, Canada.3,13,10

     The Avondale Baptist Church was organized in the home of William and Ida Wellwood on 27 May 1921 in the Avondale district, south of Asquith. He was one of the first deacons of the church.15 He was a pallbearer at the burial ofSarah Brooks,the mother of Albert and Charlie Brooks, on 2 October 1949 in Asquith Cemetery, Asquith, RM of Vanscoy No. 345, Saskatchewan, Canada.16

Wellwood

The death of Mrs. Ida A. Wellwood, in her 67th year, beloved wife of Mr. Wm. J. Wellwood of Asquith, Sask., occurred at a Saskatoon hospital on August 26. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, at 2 p.m., standard time from the Asquith Baptist Church. Park Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. Surviving are four sons, Arthur of Laroche, Sask., Henry of Asquith, Thomas of Middle Lake, and Roy of West Summerland, B.C; seven daughters, Mrs. W. C. Fisher, Mrs. Glen Stover and Miss Gladys Wellwood of Saskatoon, Mrs. Fred Tiessen in India, Mrs. Carl Rousell of Shearerdale, B.C., Mrs. Percy Miller of Summerland, B.C., Mrs. Henry Windel (sic) of Wingard, Sask; four brothers, Sam and Henry Denzin of Regina; four sisters, Mrs. Isaac Sutton, Mrs. Steve Main, Mrs. Thos. McTaggart and Mrs. Clake (sic) all of Regina. The late Mrs. Wellwood resided in the Avondale district from 1910 to 1941, and since then had lived in Asquith. Burial will take place in the Avondale Cemetery.11
