Seized without warning by a paralytic stroke yesterday morning, when apparently in the best of health, Mrs. John Noack, 12 Melrose avenue, passed away last night in her forty-fifth year. She had lived 18 years in Ottawa with her husband, Mr. John Noack, of the C.P.R. Surviving are Mr. Noack and one son, Edward. Besides these the deceased lady leaves two brother, Messrs. Charles and John Radke, of Snake River, and Micksburg respectively, and a sister, Mrs. John Berger, Chalk River. The funeral was held this afternoon at three o'clock when the remains were entrained at Central Depot for interment at Locksley, near Shady Nooks. A further service will be conducted at Locksley, Sunday. Mrs. Noack was noted for her unselfishness and devotion to the happiness of others.6

A large number of friends united in paying final tribute to the memory of Edward C. Noack, for many years a well known resident of the city, who death on Wednesday last occasioned deep regret among his many friends. At the residence of his father, John Noack, 12 Melrose avenue, Rev. A. Dasinner, of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiated at the funeral service, and from there the cortege proceeded to Alice, Ont., where a service was conducted at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. J. Noack, by Rev. Mr. Herdst, of Alice, and thence to Alice church for a public service. Interment was in Alice cemetery.
The chief mourners who accompanied the body to Alice were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Noack; an aunt, Miss Anna Noack, and Miss M. Kritsch, a close friend of the family.
The high esteem in which Mr. Noack was held by all with whom he was acquainted was exemplified by the large number of beautiful floral offerings received by the bereaved family. Included in these were pieces from the St. Paul's Men's Club, the St. Paul's Y. P. A., managers of the Ottawa Motor Sales Company, fellow employees of the Ottawa Motor Sales Company, Lodge No. 172, Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers, and a memorial wreath from the Locksley Sewing Circle.6,9
