     Joseph Legard died on 10 February 1894 at Artemesia Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Death Registration 005707. Note that the year of death on his gravestone does not agree with his death registration. However, his son, James, did die in 1881. If the monument was raised years after his death, there may have been confusion about the year of death. Age given as 73 years 6 months is close to the 73 years given on his death registration.8,5 The informant on his death registration was E. S. Legard with no relationship given.4
     Joseph Legard was buried at Flesherton Cemetery, Flesherton, Artemesia Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada.5
