Helen Wilson Is Bride Sunday
Miss Helen Maree Wilson wore candlelight satin for her marriage to James Hilton Ring of Nashville, Tenn., Sunday at 4 p. m. in First Presbyterian church. Rev. E. E. Freed officiated before a bank of ferns, baskets of gold and white flowers with oak leaves, and candelabra. The news were decorated with satin ribbon and bronze pom-poms.

A reception followed in the church parlors and Miss Ruth Harry of St. Louis and Mrs. Velma Groves of Argenta served, and Miss Patricia Stocks of Dalton City was in charge of the guest register. Following a motor trip through the east, the couple will be at home Nov. 1 near Nashville, Tenn., where the bridegroom is farming.

The bride's dress had a peplum of deep ivory lace and she wore a double fingertip length veil of imported ivory illusion caught by a juliet cap. She carried a cascade of orchids and wore a cameo necklace which belonged to the bridegroom's mother, the late Mrs. Joseph J. Ring of Wauwatosa, Wis.

The bride's sister Mrs. Charles M. Edwards was matron of honor in gold gros de londre made with bouffant skirt and carried talisman roses and ivy with turquoise ribbon. Mrs. Thomas B. Jack, Jr., and Miss Frances Picknell were attendants in turquoise gros de londre and carried yellow carnations and ivy. The colors of the dresses were chosen from the stained glass windows in the west of the sanctuary. The bride's mother wore Victorian green with black accessories and an orchid corsage.

Dan Brounson of Monona. Iowa, was best man and ushers were Keith Spiker of Philadelphia, Pa., Jack Fletcher of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Robert Albertson of Ames, Iowa, all fraternity brothers of the bridegroom, and Robert E. Wilson, brother of the bride. Martin Lee Edwards, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer and John Nowlin of Holton and John Rogers of Maroa, cousins of the bride. lighted the candles.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Wilson. 600 West Main, attended Millikin and graduated from Iowa State college at Ames. She has been assistant home adviser in Macon county.

The bridegroom is the son of Colonel Joseph J. Ring of Wauwatosa. He is a graduate of Iowa State college and a member of Pi Kappa Phi. He served 26 months in the marine corps.2
