She was born on 22 June 1880 at Dearborn County, Indiana, USA.5,6,7,8,2,9 Alternatively, she may have been born on 20 June 1880 at Indiana, USA, according to the 1880 census which listed her as one day old (enumerated June 21, 1880)3; or, on 26 January 1880 at Indiana, USA, according to her Find A Grave memorial page, but without sources you know how reliable this is. I have suggested a revised birth date.10 Alternatively, she may have been born in 1881 according to her grave marker, but she was included in the 1880 census, so this is incorrect.10 Caroline married Frederick W. She was the last surviving member of her family, 5 brothers and 4 sisters having preceded her to the grave.
On March 1,1873 she was united in marriage to John Bryant, six children came to bless this union, two of which with her husband preceded her to that life eternal. Roy died in lnfansy (sic) and Mrs. Grace Federie departed this life February 7 1905.
Since the death of her husband on November 19, 1916 she has lived with her children having spent her last years at the home of her son Edward with her granddaughter Miss Lorene Federle.
She leaves to mourn her passing four children Lloyd Bryant, Mrs. Curtis Federle, Mrs. Carrie Ulrich and Edward Bryant, all of Lawrenceburg, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Grandma as she was familiarly known by all spent her entire life in the community where she was born, she bore her suffering patiently, always thinking of others and their welfare ahead of her own needs.
Her weary hours and days of pain, her troubled nights are past
And in my aching heart I know, she has found sweet rest at last.9

He was born circa 12 August 1819 at Miller Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, USA, based upon age on gravestone.6,2,7,3 Stephen married Elizabeth Smith on 3 June 1840 at Dearborn County, Indiana, USA, note that their marriage license was issued the following day, Jun 4, 1840.8,5,3,9
Stephen Liddle died on 5 March 1888.1,3,10
Stephen Liddle was buried at Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, USA.3 The cause of his death was given as cancer in the tongue and throat.10
He was commonly known as Steve Liddle.10,11 Only the head of the household was named in the 1820 census, with the number of household members broken out by age and gender groupings. Stephen appears to have been included in this statistical breakout of the household of Stephen Liddle.12 Only the head of the household was named in the 1830 census, with the number of household members broken out by age and gender groupings. Stephen appears to have been included in this statistical breakout of the household of Stephen Liddle.13
Stephen Lyddle appeared on the 1840 U.S. Federal Census of Miller Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, USA. (Only the head of the household was named in this census.) His wife was probably Elizabeth Smith. He was described as being employed in agriculture. The enumeration was supposed to reflect information effective June 1, 1840 so the date of marriage of Stephen and Elizabeth may be inaccurate since current research shows they were married 2 days later. Stephen may have been enumerated twice..14 Only the head of the household was named in the 1840 census, with the number of household members broken out by age and gender groupings. Stephen appears to have been included in this statistical breakout of the household of Stephen Lyddle.15
Stephen and Elizabeth Liddle appeared on the 1860 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 6 June 1860, described as a carpenter with an estate valued at $100. Their children: Mary A., James T., Isaac H., Ellen E., Caroline, Josephine, Mac and Charles, were listed as living with them.4 Stephen Liddle registered for the Civil War draft for the Union in June 1863 at Dearborn County, Indiana, USA. He was 43 and a house raiser, probably referring to raising the house to add or improve the foundation.16
Stephen and Elizabeth Liddle appeared on the 1870 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 16 June 1870, described as a laborer. Their children: Isaac, Caroline, Josephine, Edward, Charles and Thomas, were listed as living with them.17
Sephen Liddle appeared on the 1880 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 21 June 1880, described as a widower and his occupation was carpenter. As were his son-in-law and daughter, John Bryant and Carrie Bryant and their children, Lloyd, Curtis, Mary and Grace. In the column for State of Health it was noted that Carrie was "cenfined" (sic - should be confined) reflecting that their daughter Grace was born the previous day. Sephen seems to have been confused about his grandchildren's names. Curtis was Curtie, Mary appears to be Grace born in 1878, and Grace appears to have been Carrie, born just before enumeration of the census.6
Stephen Liddle was identified as the father of Thomas Liddle in Thomas's obituary after his death on 16 October 1912.18
Stephen Liddle was identified as the father of Isaac Liddle in Isaac's obituary after his death on 1 October 1930.19 In the death registration of Josephine Mason who died on 14 December 1936, Steve Liddle was identified as her father.11
In the obituary of Carrie Liddle Bryant who died 19 March 1939, her parents, Stephen Liddle and Elizabeth Liddle were listed or implied as predeceased.20
