I have suggested a revised birth date.¹⁰ Alternatively, she may have been born in 1881 according to her grave marker, but she was included in the 1880 census, so this is incorrect.¹⁰ Caroline married Frederick W.      Frederick W. and Carrie Ulrich appeared on the 1910 U.S. Federal Census of Greendale, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 18 April 1910, described as a machinist for a pump & well supply factory (supl fact). Their children: Earl E, Marjory L and Gerald, were listed as living with them. As was her brother, Lloyd Bryant.⁷

     Edgar E appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana in the household of his parents, Fred and Carrie Ulrich.⁴
     Earl E appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Greendale, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana in the household of his parents, Frederick and Carrie Ulrich.⁵

     She was born on 10 March 1901 at Indiana, USA.^2,5,6,7,4 Alternatively, she may have been born circa 1903 at Indiana, USA.⁸ Marjorie married Frank Anthony Dayton circa 1925, He was 33 and she was 24 when they were married, so married in about 1925.^9,10,6,7

     Frank and Dayton appeared on the 1930 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 10 April 1930, described as a valve setter in a pump foundry. No given name was recorded for his wife. They were renting their home for $15, and were enumerated right before his in-laws, so may have been renting from them.⁷
     Frank and Marjorie Dayton appeared on the 1940 U.S. Federal Census of Greendale, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 1 May 1940, described as a shipping clerk for Deep Well Pump Company.⁶

He as a painter by trade.^1,4,10 The informant on his death registration was his son, Lloyd Bryant. His wife was identified as Carry Bryant. His parents were identified as Robert Bryant and Permelia Terhune.⁴

     Carry Bryant, survivor, was referenced, but not by name, in the obituary of her husband, John Bryant, who died 19 November 1916.²⁰ Caroline Liddle appeared on the 1920 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, in the household of Hugo Federle and Curtie Federle.¹²
     Carrie Bryant appeared on the 1930 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, in the household of George E. and Nellie Bryant.²¹

     Stephen Lyddle appeared on the 1840 U.S. Federal Census of Miller Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, USA. (Only the head of the household was named in this census.) His wife was probably Elizabeth Smith. He was described as being employed in agriculture. The enumeration was supposed to reflect information effective June 1, 1840 so the date of marriage of Stephen and Elizabeth may be inaccurate since current research shows they were married 2 days later. Stephen may have been enumerated twice..¹⁴ Only the head of the household was named in the 1840 census, with the number of household members broken out by age and gender groupings. Stephen appears to have been included in this statistical breakout of the household of Stephen Lyddle.¹⁵
     Stephen and Elizabeth Liddle appeared on the 1860 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 6 June 1860, described as a carpenter with an estate valued at $100. Their children: Mary A., James T., Isaac H., Ellen E., Caroline, Josephine, Mac and Charles, were listed as living with them.⁴ Stephen Liddle registered for the Civil War draft for the Union in June 1863 at Dearborn County, Indiana, USA. He was 43 and a house raiser, probably referring to raising the house to add or improve the foundation.¹⁶
     Stephen and Elizabeth Liddle appeared on the 1870 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 16 June 1870, described as a laborer. Their children: Isaac, Caroline, Josephine, Edward, Charles and Thomas, were listed as living with them.¹⁷
     Sephen Liddle appeared on the 1880 U.S. Federal Census of Lawrenceburg, Lawrenceburg Twp., Dearborn County, Indiana, enumerated 21 June 1880, described as a widower and his occupation was carpenter. As were his son-in-law and daughter, John Bryant and Carrie Bryant and their children, Lloyd, Curtis, Mary and Grace. In the column for State of Health it was noted that Carrie was "cenfined" (sic - should be confined) reflecting that their daughter Grace was born the previous day. Sephen seems to have been confused about his grandchildren's names. Curtis was Curtie, Mary appears to be Grace born in 1878, and Grace appears to have been Carrie, born just before enumeration of the census.⁶
     Stephen Liddle was identified as the father of Thomas Liddle in Thomas's obituary after his death on 16 October 1912.¹⁸
     Stephen Liddle was identified as the father of Isaac Liddle in Isaac's obituary after his death on 1 October 1930.¹⁹ In the death registration of Josephine Mason who died on 14 December 1936, Steve Liddle was identified as her father.¹¹
     In the obituary of Carrie Liddle Bryant who died 19 March 1939, her parents, Stephen Liddle and Elizabeth Liddle were listed or implied as predeceased.²⁰

     She was born before 1780.³ Elizabeth married Edward Smith circa 1795, note that Elizabeth was recorded as the wife of James Smith in the IGI. She may not have been the wife of "Edward Smith", or the mother of "our" James Smith.^1,3,4
