She was born circa 1850 at Lincolnshire, England.1 She was born on 19 January 1857.2 Frances married John Trullope before 1883.3,4 Frances married William Vamplew on 8 March 1900 at Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 007135.1,5 Frances Delaney Smith and William Vamplew were divorced before 31 March 1901. in the 1901 census, William is enumerated as "D" for divorsed, but Fannie is enumerated as "M" for married. They were enumerated as heads of separate households.
One is tempted to speculate why this was such a short marriage.6
She was commonly known as Fannie S on Annie's birth registration.7,2,8
