     Alban was born on 7 November 1822 in England.5,3,4 Alban married Harriet Allinson before 1865.6,7,4 The informant on his death registration was H Trott. No relationship was given.8 He died on 4 September 1908 in a local hospital in Collingwood, Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada, at age 85 according to Ontario Death Registration 026511.5,8 Alban Hamwood was buried in Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Lot 23, Concession 9, Victoria, Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada.5
     He immigrated in 1863 to Canada from England.2,3 He was the informant on the death registration of his son, Francis Allinson Hamwood who died on 13 October 1882.9

At the time of their marriage their occupations were given as farmer and nurse.8,1,9,6 Arthur William Hamwood was buried in Kerrobert Cemetery, Kerrobert, RM of Progress No. 351, Saskatchewan, Canada.4 He died circa 12 December 1934 at home in Kerrobert, RM of Progress No. 351, Saskatchewan, Canada.7,9,4

ARTHUR W. HAMWOOD
KERROBERT.
Arthur William Hamwood, 65, one of the most highly respected pioneer settlers of Kerrobert district, passed away at his home after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted from the house on Thursday afternoon, and interment was made in the Kerrobert Cemetery. The Kev. Mr. Saunders of Dodsland officiatted (sic) with the Rev. A. E. Elliott, of Sutherland, brother-in-law of Mrs, Hamwood, assisting. Many beautiful floral tributes from relatives and friends adorned the casket, and a large number of friends from all parts of the district attended the service. Mr. Hamwood was a member of the Anglican Church. He was born in Grey County, Ontario, and came to Kerrobert in 1912, where he has always been prominent and an outstanding farmer. Pallbearers i were Vic Culham, Ernie Needham, W. Collins. W. Reynolds. A. L. Wright and James Wright.

Surviving relatives include his widow. Myrtle Sophia Hamwood; , two sons, Beverley and Garth; one ! daughter, Inez Hamwood; two sisters, Janet Hamwood. of Toronto, and Blanche Hamwood, of Detroit; and one brother, Bert Hamwood, of Toronto.7



     In the obituary of Myrtly (sic) Sophia Hamwood who died 25 October 1975, her husband, Arthur Hamwood was listed as predeceased.10
     In the obituary of Inez Blanche Cunnings who died 17 September 1989, her father, Arthur Hamwood was listed as predeceased.11
     In the obituary of Garth Hamwood who died 14 June 1990, his father, Arthur Hamwood was listed as predeceased.12

     Erastus was born in May 1856 in Ontario, Canada, married at age 24, and 24 n the 1881 census.2,4 Erastus was born in May 1857 in Ontario.1 Erastus married Martha White on 2 March 1881 in Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada.2,5,4 Erastus Hemphill was buried in Villenova Cemetery, Balcom, Chautauqua County, New York, USA, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=17831353.6,7 He died in March 1908 in Hamlet, Chautauqua County, New York, USA, at age 51.1
     He and Martha White immigrated in 1888 to USA from Canada with three of their children. Later census data gives 1890 as the year of their immigration, but Laura's birth in New York state in 1889 supports this earlier date.5
     While working in the woods, Erastus was seriously hurt by a falling limb striking him on the head.
