About June 1918
Avondale Woodlawn Cemetery

The following biographical information is from my personal research, April 2012:
Ron Summach spoke to both of his parents about Jack's death. They remembered that he was killed on the road in front of August Summach's old house, just north of Grandpa Fred's yard. Jack died when he tried to alight from a moving car at the gate. His overcoat caught on the door handle and he fell under the wheels. Harvey (who would have been about 5 1/2) remembered being told to stay in the house after the accident.6
