Today, in Wheaton, at the parsonage of Rev. H. C. Holt occurred the marriage of Frank W. Riddell and Miss Zada Witter, daughter of George Witter of Belvidere. While intimate friends knew of the approaching marriage of the two, the announcement comes as surprise to DeKalb folk generally. Mr. and Mrs. Riddell are leaving on a short wedding trip and will return here to make their home at First and Franklin streets. The bride in today's wedding is known to a number of local people. His position as chief of police has made Frank Riddell well known throughout this vicinity, and he has become better known since announcing his candidacy for sheriff. He is popular , an all round good fellow, and a member of one of DeKalb's oldest families. He received his education in the schools here and has always been and (sic) social life. Hosts of friends will welcome he and Mrs. Riddell on their return from their bridal trip.3
