The following obituary appeared in the book "Death Notices & Obituaries from the Eganville Leader, 1922-1927" (1991); originally printed 1991 :
Died at Pembroke
Jan 24 - Christie Krueger
Born at Frankfort on the Maine (sic) Germany, 1857, to Wilberforce Twp, with his parents. Married three times First wife was Mary Ashiak, five children. Mrs Sidney Baker, Mrs August Witt of Pembroke, Mrs Andrew Weinke of Potowa; Mrs Henry Domman, SK; Henry Krieger of North Bay. Second wife was Mary Neuman who died about two years after marriage. Third wife Louisa Panke who survives with a daughter, Adeline. Three other children of the third marriage died previously. Mr. Krueger was a carpenter by trade. He leaves a brother, Fred Krueger of Palmer Rapids.

Note that his son Emil is not listed in the obituary, but lived until at least 1959 when he made a declaration to register his birth to "Christopher Kreger" and Lousia Panke.5,31

     April 2016 Research notes:
Need to sort out his marriage dates and children. It is possible that Christian and Christopher are not the same person. Three of Louise's chldren were born before she married Christie. Emill's delayed birth registration gives his father's name as Christopher.32

The following biographical information is from my personal research, March 2017:
The spelling of his surname varies, but his name is given as Christian in all three of his marriage registrations. It was also given as Christian in his death registration, and then amended to Christie.32
