They apparently transitted through New York.¹² Julius and Minnie Heins immigrated in 1876 to Canada from Germany via New York, accompanied by August, Albert, Louisa and Bertha.^13,8,14,15 He lost hiswife, the former Amelia Hein, in 1886.⁴
     Julius Panke appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a Farmer and a Methodist. His children: August, Albert and Herman, were listed as living with him. As were his daughter Eliza Kruger Kruger and her children Minnie Kruger and Amen Kruger.¹⁶
