Dr. R. E. Curry Married.
In a letter to his uncle and former business partner. Dr. J. A. Nowlin, received Tuesday, Dr. Ralph E. Curry of Aurora acknowledged that he was now a married man and gave particulars of the happy event and sent a picture of himself and bride. Dr. Nowlin suspected his nephew had committed matrimony and charged him with the same, receiving a full confession by return mail.
The marriage took place in Chicago on Saturday morning, June 18, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Mr. Bushingham, pastor of the First M. E. church. The couple are now at home at 48 North Fourth street, Aurora.
Mrs. Curry was formerly Miss Alodia Hutchison (sic), only daughter of Mrs. M. E. Hutchinson of Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles, Cal. She is a graduate of the Colorado State normal at Greely and the past term was commercial teacher and atheltic (sic) director at the Calexico Union high school, Calexico, Cal. The previous two years she was teaching at. Nogales, Ariz. It was during her residence at Nogales that she and Dr. Curry met, the doctor being in service as first lieutenant at Stephen D. Little camp, Nogales, during the World war.
With the exception of the two years spent in army service, Dr. Curry spent the past seven years in Farmer City in a partnership (sic) with Dr. Nowlin. This entire community got to know him and like him immensely. His public schooling was completed at Holdrege, Neb., his home town, and he finished the course in osteopathy at Des Moines, Iowa. Although Dr. Curry held back the news of his marriage for thirty days, his many friends here congratulate him heartily and wish him and his all Joy and prosperity.9
