He was born on 2 December 1825 at Germany according to the 1901 census.2,3,4 Alternatively, he may have been born in September 1824 at Germany in the 1911 census and on his death registration (year only)5,6,3,4; or, circa 1829 at Germany since he was age 52 in 1881 census.7 Charles married Lena Risk before 1857 at Germany.8,2,6,7,4
Charles Able died on 5 July 1920 at Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 94 according to Ontario Death Registration 032745.5 The informant on his death registration was his grandson, John Zummach.5 The cause of his death was given as senile decay.5
Charles Frederick Able was buried on 6 July 1920 at Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.5
Charles Frederick and Lena Risk immigrated in 1861 to Canada from Germany.2,6
Frederick and Carilina Ebel appeared on the 1871 Canadian Census of Sebastopol Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 2 April 1871. Frederick was described as a Baptist and a Farmer. As was Carolina Runtz who may have been a foster child or step-daughter.3
Caral appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of John Shumma and Lena Shumma.7 Charles Frederick Able of Hagarty Twp., was the informant on the birth registration of his grandson and namesake, Charles Frederick Zummach.1
Carl appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of John Zummack and Carolina Zummack.4
Charlie appeared on the1901 Canadian Census of Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of John Zummach and Lena Zummach.2
