Research notes:
Issues to be
researched:He married Whilhelmina Runtz after her first husband Frederick died in 1913. That would make August's daughter Violet also a step daughter, although the census shows her as a daughter.
Is the following tombstone for this August and Minnie. If so, the dates are off so other facts need to be reviewed.

Charlotte Abel is referenced in my analysis of Carolina Runtz and Carl Frederick William Runtz in June 2018; It appears that Carolina Runtz , daughter of Charles Frederick Able and Lena Risk, was actually their foster daughter. Based upon her identification as a sister of Carl Frederick William Runtz, her biological parents were William Runtz and Charlotte Abel. Were Charles Able and Charlotte Able siblings?13

Johannah appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of McNab Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of William Runz and Mina Runz.3 In the death registration of Karl August Runz who died on 2 September 1909, Charlotte Abel was identified as Karl August's mother.1 In the death registration of Willam Runtz, who died on 6 February 1942, Charlotte Able was identified as his mother.9
Research notes (July 2021):
Were Charlotte Abel and Charles Frederick Able siblings? It appears that Charles and his wife raised the daughter of Charlotte.14

MRS. FERDINAND BLOEDOW
The death occurred in Winnipeg on Aug, 2nd of Mrs. Ferdinand Bloedow who passed away in a city hospital. Although not in robust health for a number of years her death came as a great shock to her relatives and ninny friends. Just a few weeks previous to her death her sister, Mrs. Ferdinand Scheel, returned home after spending several weeks at her home. Deceased who before her marriage was Miss Lena Runtz, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Runtz, was born in McNab township 55 years ago and was married in Arnprior to Rev. F. A. Bloedow on May 31st, 1905. Following the marriage they went west where they have since resided.
Besides her sorrowing husband she is survived by two sons, Rev. Wilfred Bloedow of Merrill, Wis; and Erie Bloedow of Winnipeg: also two daughters, Mrs. Walter Bennett and Mrs. John Schirrmacher, both of Winnipeg, four brothers, William Runtz, jr., of McNab, Ferdinand Runts of Arnprior; Robert Runts of Yorkton, Sask., and Rev. August F. Runtz of Peoria, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. William Homuth, Arnprior, and Mrs. Ferdinand Scheel, McNab, along with two lithe grandchildren. One grandchild, Norman Schirrmacher, predeceased her several weeks ago, which had the effect of causing her sudden illness.
The funeral was from her late residence, 479 Arlington St., Winnipeg, to the McDermett Baptist church which was largely attended and the many beautiful floral offerings showed the love and esteem in which the deceased was held.4

RUNZ, Karl August, our brother, was born July 12th 1854 at Falkenstein, County Friedeberg, Prussia, and died after long suffering of dropsy on Sept. 2nd 1909 at the age of 55 years and several months. He believed in Savior in 1869 and was baptized by Br. on räthmann on July 25th of the same year at Sebastopol, Ont., and was added to the church. Inspite of an accident which made him practically helpless for about 12 years, one could never hear him complain, but he was always glad in his Lord. The Church Lyndock lost in him a faithfully praying member, however, its loss is his gain. He leaves in addition to his sorrowing wife two sons and four daughters as well as two sisters and their (three?) brothers. The undersigned spoke in the church, Lyndock, Ont. W.A.Schõn (Schoen)

TREGARVA
...Wedding Bells
On Wednesday last at the residence of the bride's father. Mr. A. Seed. Miss Minnie Seed of Tregarva was united in the holy estate of matrimony, to Mr. Marvin W. Colton of Regina. Rev. J. A. Carmichael officiating. The marriage took place at 3 o'clock p. m.. and the afternoon was passed very pleasantly by singing, recitations, extemporaneous addresses, music on stringed instruments, mouth organ, etc. After some two or three hours had passed away pleasantly in this manner, the next thing on the programme was the rattling of china, the lengthening of extension tables, the tender footsteps of the fair domestic's as they hastened to load the tables with the luscious viands, and the next event, second in importance to anything that had transpired as yet, was the participating in the sumptuous repast which had been carefully and artistically provided by the ladies.
After dinner had been served, and while the guests still remained seated around the table, J. W. Ridd made a few congratulatory remarks respecting the bride, and proposed that the guests present convey their congratulations and also their best mattes to the bride and bridegroom by drinking a cup of tea to their honour. This was done, after which Mr. Colton heartily resounded. Mr. Isaac Sutton then proposed that the congratulations of the guests present be conveyed to the ladies, and that their health be drunk in tho same manner. This was done, and Mr. A. Daykin was asked to respond in behalf of the ladies, which he did in a very gentlemanly manner. After , dinner was all over, the party again engaged in music, singing, recitations &c., until an unknown hour, after winch all returned to their homes, feeling, that they had enjoyed themselves to their utmost capacity, but none more desirous that another wedding should occur the next day, as rest was the most desirable. The bride was the recipient of some very handsome presents.
