The marriage of Miss Esther Violet Pilgrim, daughter of Mr. G. H. Pilgrim and the late Mrs. Pilgrim, to Rev. William A. Durst of Rosenthal, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Durst, took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Pilgrim. Haley's Station, on Saturday afternoon, August 3rd. at half-past two o'clock. Rev. L. Gross of Golden Lake, brother-in-law of the groom, officiated and Mrs. Isobel Hodgras played the wedding music.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was wearing a white silk sheer gown over taffeta. She wore a halo of tulle and orange blossoms and a long tulle veil. A shower bouquet of roses and bouvardia was carried.
Mrs. W. H. Podd of Ottawa attended her sister, wearing a turquoise blue chiffon gown styled with a jacket and "she carried a sheaf of coral gladiolis. Mr. Podd attended the groom.
After an informal reception, the bride and groom left on a motor trip and will take up residence in Rosenthal on their return. For travelling the bride wore a navy blue sheer frock and a white hat.3
