Azzaph E. Jaster1

M, #26641, b. 17 January 1896, d. 10 August 1976
Father*Gottfried Jaster2,1
Mother*Fredericka Binder1

He was born on 17 January 1896 at Leduc, Northwest Territories (Alberta), Canada. Note that his New York marriage registration indicates he was born in "La Duke, Ont", but this was an error in rendering Leduc, Alberta, just south of Edmonton. Also, his WWI Attestion papers give Edmonton as his birthplace. I defer to the Ablerta Birth Index which gives Leduc as his birthplace.2,3,1,4 Azzaph married Selma M. Kuehl on 20 May 1926 at Rochester, Monroe County, New York, USA, according to New York Marriage Registration 3318. He was a student (probably at the seminary) and she was a domestic.3,5,6,1 Azzaph married Gertrude Delia Becker after 9 February 1967.6
Azzaph E. Jaster died on 10 August 1976 at Barry's Bay Hospital, Barry's Bay, Ontario, Canada, at age 80.3,6

     Maurice Hartwig died in 1999.1
On 29 February 1960 at Killaloe, Maurice Hartwig certified the accuracy of information about the birth of Alexander Hartwig; Maurice certified that Alexander's birth year was 1893 with a ? over the 3. Since his brother Alexander's brother Arthur was born in August of 1892, this year is probably accurate, despite the evidence of his gravestone which gives his year of birth as 1892.4
In the obituary of Margaret Mary Jessup who died 15 February 2012, his brother-in-law, Maurice Hartwig, was listed as predeceased.5
