PEMBROKE, Aug 10. - (Special). - Thrown from a wagon when the horses became frightened and bolted, on the Golden Lake-Killaloe road Monday afternoon, two Golden Lake children were painfully injured, and were brought to Pembroke Cottage hospital for treatment.
Jack Yourth, aged three, received a deep laceration of the right arm; while his five-year-old brother, Douglas, had an extensive injury to the right foot, where he was trampled by one of the horses and a scalp wound. Both are sons of John F. Yourth, Golden Lake farmer, and cook at the Y.M.C.A. Red Pine Camp. The children's uncle, who was driving was also thrown out and received head injuries which did not require hospital attention.
Dr. McDermott, Golden Lake, attended the children and had them brought to Pembroke, where they were placed under the care of Dr. J. H. Joyner. They were able to return home today.3

Orono community suffered a distinct loss in the death of James Moffatt, one of its best known and popular citizens, who passed to rest February 22nd after a lengthy period of ill health.
Mr. Moffatt was born on the 8th line of Clarke in 1874, son of Andrew and Elizabeth Moffatt (nee McKay). On October 2, 1903, he married Annabelle Forsyth, daughter of Wm. and Mrs. Forsyth, Pontypool, who survives to mourn the loss of a loving husband. A niece, Mrs. George Keith, nee Freeda Wilson, who made her home with them until her marriage, also survives. His death is the first among a family of six boys and two girls. Those still living are, John of Orono, Andrew of Mimico, George of Maple Grove, Alec and William of Newcastle, Mrs. A. Allen of Orono, and Mrs. J. Larkin of Bowmanville.
The late Mr. Moffatt was in religion an adherent of the United Church, in politics a Liberal, and in fraternal societies a member of the Port Hope Masonic lodge and of the Canadian Woodman of the World, Port Hope. He has been a resident of Orono for 18 years and for the past 5 years has been constable. He was Orono's first taxi driver. Quiet, unassuming, and of a kindly nature he will be missed by a host of friends.
The funeral was held February 25th, with Rev. S. Littlewood officiating, assisted by J. J. Mellor, and was largely attended. Bearers were Messrs. W. J. Riddell, R. R. Waddell, Charles Shaw, Percy Lunn, George Lunn and Harry Mercer. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful and nephews of the deceased acted as flower bearers.*Friends attending from a distance were: Mr. I. Walter, Mrs. A. 0. Keeler, Port Hope; Mr. and Mrs. A. Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Moffatt of Bowmanville; Mr. and Mrs. D. Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Basil Wilson, Mr. Charles Wilson, Mrs. E.
