GESY -- SCHULTZ
     A pretty wedding was solemnized at St Ann Church, Delisle, at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 25, when Violet Christina Schultz, youngest daughter of Mr. Gus. Schultz and the late Mrs. Schultz, became the bride of Raymond Henry Gesy, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gesy, all of Delisle. The Rev. Fr. H. J. Balllargeon performed the ceremony.
     The bride was attractively decorated In an Ivory pussy-willow taffeta gown and wore a hand embroidered veil caught with a band of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of sweetheart roses and fern. Miss Lucille Gesy, sister of the groom, dressed in rose taffeta with matched bouquet, attended the bride, while Mr. Howard Schultz, brother of the bride, performed the duties of best man.
     A reception was held following the ceremony at the home of the brides father, where 40 relatives and friends gathered, among whom were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schultz and daughter of Quill Lake; Mrs. Leo King and daughter of Lac Vert, and Miss Irene Schneider of Saskatoon.
     Mr. and Mis. Gesy will make their home west of Delisle.4

Oscar Sandberg, 68, who settled in the Delisle district 44 years ago, died at his farm home Monday.

Mr. Sandberg, who was pre deceased by his wife in 1941, is survived by two sons, Walter and Orvel at Delisle and four daughters, Mrs. Unis Stankevich of New Westminster, Mrs. Mary Hoffman of Kelowna, B.C., Mrs. Irma French of Donavon, Sask., and Mrs. Luella Gilbertson of Delisle.

The funeral is being held Saturday afternoon (M.S.T.) from the United church at Delisle with burial in the Avondale cemetery in the Delisle district. McKagues Funeral' Home is in charge of arrangements.3
