     He died on 26 April 1948 in Saskatchewan, Canada.1 Oscar W Sandberg was buried on 1 May 1948 in Avondale Woodlawn Cemetery, Avondale district, RM of Vanscoy No. 345, Saskatchewan, Canada. The pallbearers were: H Gesy, A Junop, C Mohr, C Mohr, T Hamre and J Smith. It is not clear which "C. Mohr" was the pallbearer in the preceding list.2,1
     The following biographical fact was included in the newspaper the in Saskatoon StarPhoenix published in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan:

Pioneer Delisle Settler Passes
Oscar Sandberg, 68, who settled in the Delisle district 44 years ago, died at his farm home Monday.

Mr. Sandberg, who was pre deceased by his wife in 1941, is survived by two sons, Walter and Orvel at Delisle and four daughters, Mrs. Unis Stankevich of New Westminster, Mrs. Mary Hoffman of Kelowna, B.C., Mrs. Irma French of Donavon, Sask., and Mrs. Luella Gilbertson of Delisle.

The funeral is being held Saturday afternoon (M.S.T.) from the United church at Delisle with burial in the Avondale cemetery in the Delisle district. McKagues Funeral' Home is in charge of arrangements.3
