MEDICINE HAT
--Word has been received in the city that Warrant Officer William Buttrey was tilled in action overseas on March 4. WO Buttrey enlisted in 1941 at the age of 18 years and was on his second tour of operations. He went overseas for the second time after haying returned to Canada for additional training about one year ago. His mother Mrs. Pearl Buttrey lives in Medicine Hat and his wife and small daughter live in Saskatoon.4

     In the obituary of Florence Evelyn Summach who died 15 September 2017, her first husband, Warrant Officer John William Buttrey, was listed as predeceased.2
