Kreis Kolmar was one of several Kreise (English: counties) in the northern administrative district of Bromberg, in the Prussian province of Posen, in Segenfelde, Kreis Kolmar, Bromberg, Posen, Prussia/Preußen (modern Germany)G, according to Ontario Extract marriage registration 009496.7,14,9,10,15,16,6,17,12 Alternatively, he was born on 11 May 1855 in GermanyG according to the 1901 census.2
