     He was born on 11 May 1852 at Segenfelde, Kreis Kolmar, Bromberg, Posen, Prussia/Preußen (modern Germany), according to Ontario Extract marriage registration 009496.
     Using Google search, we learn that Segenfelde was a villlage in Standesamt Budsin, a civil registration district located in Kreis Kolmar. In 1895 it's population was 253.
     Kreis Kolmar was one of several Kreise (English: counties) in the northern administrative district of Bromberg, in the Prussian province of Posen.6,13,8,9,14,15,5,16,17,11 Alternatively, he may have been born on 11 May 1855 at Germany according to the 1901 census.4 William married Albertina Zummach on 19 May 1879 at Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.18,19,20,8,9,4,5,16,21,22,17

     William and Alberlina Becker appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 14 April 1891. William was described as a farmer and a Baptist. Their children, Alexandr, Mary, August, William, Emma, Frederick and Carl, were listed as living with them.16
     William and Alberteena Becker appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a Baptist and a Farmer. Their children: Alexander, Mary, Agust, William, Emma, Fred, Charlie, Aurena, Martha and Lena, were listed as living with them.4
     William Becker was recorded as father of the bride at the marriage of Alexander Kuhl and Mary Becker on 2 October 1902.28
     William and Tena Becker appeared on the 1911 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 5 June 1911. William was described as a Baptist and a Farmer.
