The Becker Family history about her son Fred and family states that she was born on a ship enroute to Canada.13,4,14,15 Alternatively, she may have been born in November 1853 at Germany on her Ontario Death Certificate16,17; or, circa 1853 at Germany on the Hamburg passenger list and in early census records18,19,12; or, on 19 December 1855 at Haselen, Germany, according to the 1901 census.
