Felskie Family History

According to a book comemorating the 110 aniverssary (sic) of the Zion Augsburg Lutheran Church Ferdinand Felske joined their parrish in 1879 along with his wife and 4 children. He was born in West Prussia. The book gives details of all 4 families. Ferdinand settled in Grattan township on a farm more recently owned by Edmund Plath. Friedrich moved to Germanicus in Wilberforce township. Augusta was born there in 1888. I visited his grandson Fred Felske in 1990 who still lived in the old farm house there.3

     He was born circa 1834 at Germany age 60 when he remarried in 1894.2 Alternatively, he may have been born circa 1837 at Germany accordingto the 1881 census.1 Francis married Anstiena Faelhauber.1 Francis married Christena Dobring on 11 December 1894 at Eganville, Grattan Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.2
