John Bloedow, an esteemed citizen of Killaloe, passed away quietly on Oct. 29, at the age of 61 years. In 180 (sic - assume 1880) he came to this country and has lived n the vicinity of Killaloe ever since. He was united in marriage to Henrietta Ristau in 1890. In the same year he became a member of the Killaloe Baptist Church, of which he has remained a faithful member to this day. He was also much interested in the welfare of his country and held the office of Councillor for the townships of Hagarty & Richards for a number of years. His beloved wife, one son, two grandchildren, six brothers and two sisters mourn his death.4
