Their children: Carry, Matilda, John, William, Charles, Henry and Samul, were listed as living with them. The mother tongue of the whole family was given as German. Note that most of the years of birth for his children are a year or two later than their birth registration records.2
In the obituary of John Weber who died 24 April 1914, his parents, Ernest Weber and Matilda Ristow, although not mentioned by name, were listed as surviving him.7 She was a witness After both of their parents died of the flu in November 1918, Edith looked after Mabel and Ethel Weber until their grandfather Ernest Weber and his brother-in-law, Charles Ristow came from Ontario to pick them up. Edith accompanied them back to Renfrew County where they were raised by Ernest and his wife, Matilda.8

In the obituary of John Weber who died 24 April 1914, his parents, Ernest Weber and Matilda Ristow, although not mentioned by name, were listed as surviving him.7 She was a witness After both of their parents died of the flu in November 1918, Edith looked after Mabel and Ethel Weber until their grandfather Ernest Weber and his brother-in-law, Charles Ristow came from Ontario to pick them up. Edith accompanied them back to Renfrew County where they were raised by Ernest and his wife, Matilda.8
