St. Paul's Anglican Church, Renfrew, was the scene of a wedding this morning at 11.30 o'clock when Miss Alice Ruth Barclay, daughter of Mrs. C. J. Sharp and the late Mr. Thomas Barclay, of Renfrew, became the bride of. Mr. John A. Mayhew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey C. Mayhew, of Admaston. Rev: J. W. Cornish conducted the service, and the wedding music was played by Miss Blanche Bossence. The church was decorated with Spring flowers.
Mr. J. C. Sharp gave the bride in marriage and she was attended by Miss Edna Mary Cooper as bridesmaid. Mr. Garnet Mayhew was bestman, and the ushers were Mr. George Barclay and Mr. James Mayhew.
For her wedding the bride. wore a floor-length gown of white satin fashioned with a nylon marquisette yoke edged with guipure lace, a fitted bodice and a bouffant skirt. Her long veil was arranged from a halo of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of red roses.
Following a wedding, dinner held at the Hotel Renfrew the couple left on a wedding trip. For going away Mrs. Mayhew wore a black and white shepherd's plaid suit, with a matching hat. Her, shoulder-knot was formed of red roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Mayhew. will reside in Renfrew, Ont.
