She was born on 18 January 1896 at Brudenell Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, based upon her stated age at the time of her death, and the 1901 census.5,3,4
Ida Gertrude Pilgrim died on 2 February 1915 at Renfrew, Horton Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 19 of typhoid fever according to Ontario Death Registration 028062. Note that her gravemarker gives her date of death as 1914 (no month or day), and the year of birth is illegible.5
Ida Gertrude Pilgrim was buried at Rosenthal Wesleyan (aka Zion Evangelical United) Cemetery (aka Wesleyan Methodist Burial Ground), Brudenell Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.6,7
Ida Gertrude Pilgrim appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Renfrew County, Ontario in the household of her parents, John and Cearnest S Pilgrim.3
Ida Gertrude Pilgrim appeared in the 1911 Canadian Census of Brudenell Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario in the household of her parents, John and Ann Pilgrim, listed as a servant.4
In the obituary of Wilfred Pilgrim who died 1 January 1940, Ida Gertrude Pilgrim was listed as predeceased.8,9
The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.
The book "Six - Brudenell Township Cemeteries - Renfrew County, Ontario" includes Zion Evangelical United Cemetery, and on Page 37, gives more precise dates of birth and death for Ida, indicating to me that either 1) there may be (or have been) a second gravemarker that is not available on-line, or 2) this book used a source such as the cemetery register, and not just the grave markers. However, this source gives her dates as Jan. 8, 1890-Feb. 2, 1914, making her just over 24 at the time of her death. The date of death is a year earlier than that given in her death registration, and the date of birth is suspect because it does not conform to her stated age of 19 years and 15 days, from the same registration.6
