Her mother's name was given as Catherine Batzs.³ Gertrude married Hamilton Edward Fetterly on 1 September 1930 at Kitchener, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 022190.⁴ The cause of her death was given as diabetes.¹

     She was born circa 1876 at Ontario, Canada, since she was age 5 in the 1881 census.¹
     She was commonly known as Hattie.²
     Harriett Boyes appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of St. Vincent Twp., Grey County, Ontario in the household of her parents, George and Ellen Boyes.¹ Harriett Boyes was listed as a witness to the marriage of Joseph Crosskill and Elizabeth Heathcote Boyes on 13 March 1895 at St. Vincent Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada.^{3,4,5,6,7,2,8} Hattie Boyes was listed as a witness to the marriage of Joseph Crosskill on 13 March 1895.²

     William Hartwig died on 10 May 1915 at Brudenell Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 57 married and a farmer according to his Ontario Death Registration. The informant was Herman Hartwig.³
     Karl Wilhelm Hartwig was buried at Emmanuel (aka Immanuel) Baptist Cemetery, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada^G,¹² or in 1916 according to his gravestone.^13,8
     His name was also recorded as William Hartwig according to his death registration and grave marker.^3,4,9,12 His name was also recorded as Wilhelm Hartwig on his gravestone.^6,8 He emigrated on 3 October 1877 from Germany from the port of Hamburg aboard the ship Gellert sailing to Canada.⁷ He immigrated on 16 October 1877 to New York, New York, USA.⁷ He immigrated in 1878 to Canada from Germany, possibly by way of New York.⁹

     William and Louise Hardwack appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Brudenell Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 6 April 1891. William was described as a farmer and a Baptist.^21,10
