     Helen McColman appeared on the 1940 U.S. Federal Census of Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, enumerated 12 April 1940, described as the widowed head of her household. Her daughter and son-in-law, Zoy and Robert Herlihy lived with her. All three were shown to have lived at the same address in 1935, indicating to me that Zoy and Robert may have been married by that time.7

     John and Edith Getz appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a Baptist and a Farmer. Their children: John L, Charlie E and Delia A, were listed as living with them. As was his widowed mother, Amelia A Getz.2
     John and his son Jack went out to Saskatchewan in the spring of 1910. Edith and the rest of the children followed by train in July, with the livestock and family possessions. They settled near Hazlet.5,1
     After both of their parents died of the flu in November 1918, Edith looked after Mabel and Ethel Weber until their grandfather Ernest Weber and his brother-in-law, Charles Ristow came from Ontario to pick them up. Edith accompanied them back to Renfrew County where they were raised by Ernest and his wife, Matilda.5
