PEMBROKE, Ont., June 13 — The Evangelical church at Golden Lake was the scene of a very pretty wedding June 12th, at 1.30 o'clock, when Esther C., eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Schmidt, of Golden Lake, was united in marriage to Michael N. Ohlman, of Golden Lake, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ohlman, of Rockingham. Rev. L. H; Plelch performed the marriage ceremony. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked winsome in her gown of white silk crepe romain with moulded pin tucked hip line and long tight fitting sleeves. She wore a picture hat of white mohair with white crush velvet band and bow. She wore the groom's gift, a string of pearls, and carried a bouquet of Columbia roses, lilies-of-the-valley and maiden hair fern.
The bridesmaid, Miss Esther Schimens, was dressed in a periwinkle georgette crepe frock, white hat and pink carnations and maiden hair fern. The groomsman was the bride's brother, Ortie Schmidt. Mendlessohn's Wedding March was played before and after the ceremony by Miss Esther Junop. The wedding supper was served to friends and relatives of the young couple at the home of the bribe's parents following the wedding ceremony. the house being prettily decorated for the occasion with spring biooms. The groom's gift to the bridesmaid was a string of pearls, and to the best man, engraved gold cuff links. Mr. and Mrs. Ohlman will reside in Golden Lake.1
