     His name was recorded as Milton Markus on his birth registration.2 His name was also recorded as Wilfred Markus.3
     In the obituary of Louis Martin Markus who died 9 June 1968, Louis's brother, Wilfred Markus was listed as a survivor.4
     The following biographical information is from my personal research:
There is an OCFA entry for Wilfred in the Haley Station, Union cemetery, but it is not included in the Gravemarker Gallery.5

     Lorne was born on 7 May 1904 in Alice Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG, Delayed Statement of Birth 502909.1,2,3 Lorne married Emma R (?).1 Lorne Gordon Markus submitted a delayed birth registration for himself on 21 February 1972, in Alice Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.2 He died on 10 January 1984 in Pembroke, Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG, at age 79.1,4 He was buried in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke - Boundary Road, Laurentian Valley Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.1

     He also went by the name of Lornie.3
     The following biographical information is from my (Rick Moffat's) personal knowledge or recollections , 1952:
Their grandson Kenneth Barker or perhaps Kenneth Barker Marcus (1951-1952) is buried with them. His mother may have been Carolina, who married William G Barker. They are buried in the same cemetery.5,6

PEMBROKE. Ont, April 9.

The death occurred tonight at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Markus, Murray street, of their fourth daughter, Laura, the young wife of Philip Kelly, formerly of Pembroke, but now office manager for the Canada Packers Ltd., Montreal. She died after an illness extending over a period at two years. For the past 14 months she had been at her home here.

Mrs Kelly was born in Pembroke and educated at the local schools She was married in September, 1926, and for five years resided in Montreal.

Besides her husband she leaves two young children, Phyllis and John. Besides her parents she is survived also by two brothers, and four sisters. E. J. and B. W. Markus, Montreal; Mrs. W. M. R. Hamilton, Ottawa; Mrs. A. J. Butt, Huntsville. and Viola and Helen, at home.

Mrs. Kelly had a large number of warm friends in town. among Whom her death will cause much regret.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon from her parent's home to the United Church cemetery. Rev. R. H. Waterman. rector of Holy Trinity church will officiate.7

     William was born on 5 June 1875 his marriage registration indicates he was born in about 1885.3,2 William married Esther Louise Griese on 12 October 1910 in Beachburg, Westmeath Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 019556.3,2 William married Caroline Amanda Panke after December 1947, William's first wife, Esther Griese died in November 1947 so they were married at sometime after that time.4,3 He died on 1 December 1968 at age 93.3 William F Moldenhour was buried in Zion Evangelical United Church Cemetery, Pembroke - Boundary Road, Twp. of Laurentian Valley, Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.3

     He was a survivor of his wife Esther who died in 1947.5
     In the obituary of Caroline Amanda Panke who died 26 May 1977, Caroline's husband(2nd), William F Moldenhour was listed as predeceased.1
