The former margaret Aitkin(s) she was Janie's aunt by marriage to George White, was listed as a witness to the marriage of Coan George Barwell and Janie A. Gee White on 14 January 1912.¹²

     In the obituary of George White who died 24 January 1937, his wife, the former Margaret P. Aitkin, was listed as a survivor.¹³ She, of Plymouth, Michigan, was listed as next-of-kin/contact on the draft registration of her son, Clarence Ivan White.^14,15

     She was born on 1 May 1882, in Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada according to Ontario Birth Registration 009877.^1,3,4 Alternatively, she may have been born circa 1881 at Canada since she was 35 in the 1916 census.⁵ It was incorrectly recorded on her Find A Grave memorial page (see my analysis below) that Janie Adggie G. White was born on 1 May 1882 at Collingwood, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada^G.⁶ Janie married Coan George Barwell on 14 January 1912, in Windsor, Essex County, Ontario, Canada according to Ontario Marriage Registration 001944. Their father's were both listed as a mechanics on their marriage registration.^7,8,5

     The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.

     He was born circa 1876, USA since he was 40 in the 1916 census.³ Alternatively, he may have been born circa 1882 at Brantford, Brantford Twp., Brant County, Ontario, Canada,¹; or, in 1883 at Ontario, Canada, according to his gravemarker and the 1931 census.^2,4 Coan married Janie A. Gee White on 14 January 1912, in Windsor, Essex County, Ontario, Canada according to Ontario Marriage Registration 001944. Their father's were both listed as a mechanics on their marriage registration.^5,2,3

     William H. and Flora White appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Collingwood, Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a carriage maker and a Methodist. Their children: Mabel, Henry, Frederick, Frank, Josephine and William H., were listed as living with them. He was listed as a carriage builder on each of his children's birth regiatrations.⁵
     William and Flora White appeared on the 1911 Canadian Census of Collingwood, Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe County, Ontario, enumerated 5 June 1911. William was described as a wagon maker and a Methodist. Their children Harry, Fred, Josephine, Frank and Willie were listed as living with them. The birth dates for several of the children seem to be off by a year.³
     Mrs. White, of Collingwood, was the informant on the death registration of her husband, William Henry White, who died on 29 January 1924.⁶
     Flora White was named as executor in the will of William Henry White on 13 February 1924 at Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada.⁷
     The informant on the death registration of Josephine White who died on 17 September 1927 was her daughter, the former Flora McLean, of Collingwood.⁸
