Mrs. Minna Bretschneider, 84, mother of Mrs. Charles F. Zummach, wife of the pastor of Oak Street Baptist church, died at the parsonage here this morning at 5:05 o'clock, following an illness of seven weeks.
The former Minna Dietel, she was born in Hirschfield, Saxony, Germany, Sept. 23, 1852. She married Ernest Bretschneider in Germany June 24, 1874, who preceded her in death Feb. 6, 1932. The couple came to Cleveland, 0., in 1878, where they made their home. Following the death of her husband, she made her home at the Zummach residence here.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Zummach; Mrs. Emma Kane and Mrs. Louise Fox, both of Cleveland, and Mrs. Meta Becker, Lincoln, Neb., and three sons, Max Bretschneider and Edwin Bretschneider, both of Cleveland, and Prof. Albert Bretschneider, Rochester, N. Y. Three children preceded her in death. Ernest died in 1900 and two children died in infancy. A granddaughter, Mrs. Walter E. Kohrs, also survives.
Funeral services will be held at Prugh's chapel Monday at 1 p. m. Rev. 0. E. Krueger, Mrs. Bretschneider's former pastor in Cleveland, will officiate. The body will be sent to Cleveland for interment in Woodlawn (sic) cemetery.
Friends may view the body at Prugh's chapel Sunday afternoon.2
