Mr. Les Green, a driver for the Eganville Creamery, in making his round on Wednesday between here and Killaloe, did not discover the proverbial "pot of gold" but he picked up on the highway a bag containing $700 in currency and valuable documents. The owner of the bag, Mr. Ferdinand Luloff, a Golden Lake farmer, who was on his way to Eganville did not discover his loss until he reached here.9
Comments from Jean Panke regarding a photo of his gravemarker - Oct. 28, 2003:
Luloff, Ferninand Luloff, at the bottom reads At Rest, this was St. John's United Church Cemetery, Golden Lake, Ontario.
I do not know where his wife is buried. Her name was Pearl. They had one son, called him Sonny, but that was a nickname. I use to know them.....a bit!! . She left her husband, and I believe she has passed away also.8

All these are consistent with other sources. - [S1347] "ON Deaths, 1869-1946", online Ontario, Canada, Deaths and Deaths Overseas, 1869-1946: Name: Catherine Moffatt

The following obituary appeared in the newspaper The Eganville Leader published in Eganville, Ontario 21 February 1919 :
Killaloe Station: the home of Mr and Mrs Albert Noack was deeply grieved Feb 17, when their little nephew, Kenneth Swabbie, was called away to his eternal home. Kenneth was a bright and loving child of five mos. and 17 days and was the joy of the household. Four months ago his parents fell victim to the influenza, his mother dying on October 16 and his father the next day. Then his aunt, Mrs Noack, took their only child, Kenneth, to bring him up in her loving care. His death was a sudden shock to the friends as he was only sick a few hours. But we trust Kenneth has gone to join his parents in a better home.3
The following account of the funeral of Kenneth Matthew Herman Schwab appeared in the Ottawa, Ontario The Ottawa Journal, on 27 February 1919 :
...On Wednesday morning the funeral of the infant son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schwab, Jr., took place from the home of the grandfather, Mr. Herman Schwab, to the Arnprior cemetery...4
