Two-Storey Home of Mrs. J. Kielo Suffers in Morning Blaze; Loss $2,000

YORKTON, March 1.
Fire which broke out shortly after 9 o'clock this morning gutted the two-storey dwelling of Mrs. J. Kielo 103 Ontario Avenue, and caused damage estimated at more than $2,00U.
The blaze originated in the kitchen shortly after Eileen Kielo, aged 15. had lit the fire. She returned to bed for a short time and was alone at the time of the outbreak. Noticing the smoke. she ran into the kitchen and beheld one of the wall (sic) a mass of flames. After dashing a pail of water into the midst of the fire she rushed to notify the fire department and ran three blocks to turn in the alarm.
Neighbors who were attracted to the scene salvaged a wash-stand. a sewing machine and several chairs. The building, owned by Leon Ceslak of Invermay, was covered by insurance.14
