Louisa Nowlin.
Louisa, daughter of John J. and Nancy Blasdel Marsh, was born in Ohio county, Ind., Dec. 17, 1845, and died at her late home in Farmer City, Ill., Jan. 6th.
After her father's death the family removed to Lawrenceburg, where Louisa grew to womanhood and was married July 4, 1865, to William James, a business man and manufacturer, and for a number of years they lived in Newtown and will be remembered by the older residents of that part of the city. In 1885 the family removed to the neighborhood of Farmer City, Illinois, where deceased has since resided.
Sept. 5, 1898, she was again married to Jonathan B. Nowlin, a brother of S. W. Nowlin, and an uncle of A. E. and P. E. Jackson. Mrs. Nowlin was a cousin of James H. Ewbank and Roger C. Marsh of this city.
She leaves to mourn their loss an aged husband, four children by her first husband and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.4

The following obituary appeared in the weekly newspaper the The Lawrenceburg Register published in Lawrenceburg, Indiana 28 October 1880:
ANOTHER PIONEER GONE
Died, Oct. 22d, 1880, at the home of her son Enoch B. Nowlin, in Miller township, Mrs. Pamelia Nowlin. The deceased was a daughter of the late Enoch Blasdel, and the widow of the late Jeremiah Nowlin. The deceased was born in Hamilton county, Ohio, but was brought here when an infant, and resided in what is now Miller township ever since. She had nearly reached here 71st year. The writer was intimately acquainted with the family for nearly fifty years, and can truly say he never heard a harmful word spoken of the deceased. Mrs. Nowlin was a firm believer in the religion of the universal salvation, but had uncommon charity for others that had a different belief. She seemed to be delighted to have others enjoy their lawful rights as well as herself. The deceased left four sons living.
A good woman has passed away. The funeral services were held on Sabbath at one o'clock p.m., by Rev. B. Plummer, to a very large audience of old neighbors and friends. The following old citizens acted at pall-bearers: Martin C. Ewbank, aged 76 years; Reuben C. Jackson, aged 70 years; Harrison Dawson, aged 68 years, Thomas Langdale, aged 67 years; David Frazier, aged 66 years; Charles R. Campbell, aged 65 years; Wm. H. Baker, aged 62 years; James Liddle, aged 58 years. The remains were deposited in the vault at Greendale, preparatory to future interment. May the deceased rest peacefully until the morning of the resurrection.4
