     Valentine Batz died on 4 February 1911 at at Lot 34, Con 18, Wilberforce Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 76 according to Ontario Death Registration 027453.1,2 The informant on his death registration was L. B. Meyer, who was not related with no relationship stated.2 The cause of his death was given as chronic asthma.2
     Valentin Bätz was buried at Golden Lake United Cemetery (AKA St. John's United Church Cemetery), Golden Lake, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.1
     He was commonly known as Val.7
     Val Baetz was recorded as father of the bride at the marriage of Ernst Gietz and Catherina Baetz on 30 July 1891.7 Valentine Baetz of Wilberforce Twp., was the informant on the birth registration of his granddaughter, Mary Ellen Minnie Baetz.8
     Valentine appeared on the1901 Canadian Census of Wilberforce and North Algona Twps., Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of William Betz and Auguste Betz.3 In the death registration of Augusta Gienow, who died on 17 March 1948, Valentine Bates was identified as her father.9

     George and Lawesa Krantz appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a farmer and an Evangelical. Their children: Mary, Henry, Hannah, Agusta, Lawesa and George, were listed as living with them.9
     George Kranz was recorded as father of the bride at the marriage of Frederick Albert Liebeck and Augusta Emilie Kranz on 24 November 1909.15
     George and Louise Kranz appeared on the 1911 Canadian Census of North Algona Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 5 June 1911. George was described as a farmer and an Evangelical. Their children Henry, Anna, Augusta and Louise were listed as living with them. Their household included his widowed mother, Augusta Kranz, and his son-in-law, "Fred Kranz (sic)". Fred's surname should probably have beenr recorded as Liebeck.5 George Kranz was the informant on the death registration of Louise Krantz.11,13
     George Krantz was a pallbearer in the funeral of Herbert John Getz on 24 April 1926.16
     George Krantz was a pallbearer in the funeral of August Getz on 16 March 1937.17
