     Ludwig was born on 23 March 1848 in Roggow, Pommern, Germany (modern Poland).10,12,8 Alternatively, he was born circa 1849 in Germany age 32 in the 1881 census.13 Ludwig married Marie Bloedow before 1878 in Germany.14,13 Ludwig married Ernstina Albertine Verch on 21 January 1886 in Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 010248.15,11,12 He died on 10 June 1894 in Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 46.16 Ludwig Fehlhaber was buried in Emmanuel (aka Immanuel) Baptist Cemetery, Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.17
     His name was also recorded as Ludvig Felhaber according to his Find A Grave memorial page, but without supporting sources.17 He immigrated in June 1878 to New York, New York, USA, from Hamburg, Germany.4 He lived at Waterloo, Kingston Twp., Ontario, Canada, circa 1881.4 He lived at Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, in 1885.4 He was a survivor of his wife Marie who died in 1885.18 Ludwig Felaber was father of the bridegroom at the marriage of William Frederick Felaber and Lena Ristow on 28 April 1908 in Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario.19,20,21,22,23,24

Worked as a veterinarian and (homeopathy) doctor.

Left for Canada soon after his father's death. Ludwig and Marie left Prussia in June 1878 on the ship 'Frisia' under Capt. Meyer. The ship sailed from Hamburg, Germany and landed in New York. The ship was owned by the Hamburg America Line and made this run from August 21, 1872 until September 13, 1885.

They made their way to Canada. First settled in Rockingham, Renfrew County, ON and moved to Waterloo, ON around 1881/82.

Ludwig moved to Killaloe in 1885, after Marie (first wife) died.10

Census Data

     Ludwig Feklhabre and Marie Feklhabre appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 4 April 1881, enumerated as a Baptist and a Farmer. Their daughter Mary was listed as living with them.13
     Louis Falover and Austina appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Hagarty & Jones Twps., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 13 April 1891. Louis was enumerated as a Farmer and a Baptist. Their children William, August, Ludwick, Mary and Emma were listed as living with them. As were her children from her first marriage, John Webber, Frederick Webber and Bertha Webber.12

     Ernstina was born on 8 January 1855 in Rafenstein, Reetz, Pommern, Germany (modern Poland), Peter C Smith -- she may have been born in Frustenau, Neu Mark, Germany.4,7 Alternatively, she was born circa 1854 in Germany age 27 in the 1881 census8 or in 1856 according to her gravestone.9 Ernstina married Herman Weber on 16 July 1876 in Arnprior, McNab Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 009764. They were married by Rev J J Valkenuar.10,8,11 Ernstina married Ludwig Fehlhaber on 21 January 1886 in Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 010248.12,13,7 She died on 4 March 1918 in Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, at age 63.6,9 Ernstina Albertine Verch was buried in Emmanuel (aka Immanuel) Baptist Cemetery, Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.9
     She also went by the name of Tena according to her gravestone and the 1881 census.9,8      She also went by the name of Albertine on her son William's marriage registration.14      She also went by the name of Fanny on Bertha's birth registration in 1884.15 She immigrated in 1872 to Canada from Germany.4 She was a survivor of her husband Herman who died in 1884.6,16,17
